  • Yes. NurtureMind Psychiatry provides virtual psychiatric appointments for adults located in New York. Visits are conducted through secure telehealth, allowing you to receive care from the comfort and privacy of home.

  • Services include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and psychotherapy-informed care for adults. Treatment may address anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood concerns, sleep concerns, stress, burnout, adjustment difficulties, and other mental health concerns.

  • NurtureMind Psychiatry is currently in the process of insurance credentialing. At this time, services are available on a self-pay basis while insurance participation is being finalized. Updates will be posted once in-network status is confirmed.

  • Yes. Self-pay appointments are currently available. Fees are discussed before scheduling so you can make an informed decision before your first visit. Current self-pay fees are listed on the Fees & Insurance page.

  • You can begin by submitting a request through the website. After your request is received, the practice will provide information about next steps, scheduling, intake forms, and whether the practice appears appropriate for your needs.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact the practice as early as possible. Appointments canceled with insufficient notice or missed without notice may be subject to a $75 cancellation/no-show fee. Full policy details are reviewed before care begins.

  • No. NurtureMind Psychiatry does not provide emergency or crisis services. If you are experiencing a mental health emergency, feel unsafe, or may be in immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. You can also call or text 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

  • Care is provided by Robert Shimonov, PMHNP-BC, a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and founder of NurtureMind Psychiatry. NurtureMind Psychiatry is the public-facing DBA of Nurture Mind NP in Psychiatry, P.C.

  • Medication decisions are made after a clinical evaluation and are based on safety, appropriateness, diagnosis, treatment history, and applicable federal and New York requirements. Controlled medications are not guaranteed and may require additional review, monitoring, documentation, or follow-up.
